Griffin is located in North Van and is another sweet old-school favorite. It consists of a well-designed downhill snake run that leads into a round bowl. It's a favorite of the older skate crowd with its smooth, fast, carving lines.
One of the oldest skatepark in Canada and definitely one of the first few in North America, Griffin is part of the local skate heritage.
The layout is simple: one long downhill snake run that leads to a round bowl. Interesting speed lines all around, a shallow area at the top and just enough of a landing strip to shoot out of the bowl at the bottom. Very old-school, don't expect to find coping here.
It's located in a nicely wooded park with plenty of shade and grassy spots to take breaks.
