in Stratford, Ontario

Roller derby has been alive and well in Stratford since 2011. Festival City Rollergirls is a non-profit roller derby league in Stratford, ON. We have options for everyone that want to be a part of the game.

Stratford LOCO is our recreational low contact team. It is a sister team to other LOCO teams in London, Kitchener, Toronto, Sarnia and Brantford. It is low contact, low commitment, low cost. It allows everyone to be involved in the sport in a less aggressive way. Play every week or play when you can! No experience necessary - we'll train you!

The Decapulettes play and promote the sport of Women's full-contact flat track roller derby in Perth County and surrounding areas in Ontario. The members of the Decapulettes are strong and motivated women who train to the fullest of their individual abilities, respect their teammates and competitors, and love the sport of roller derby. Our goal is to promote women's strength and self esteem and to create a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among our members. You must be a level 5 skater to scrimmage with this full-contact team.

Stratford Junior Roller Derby allows ages 9-17 to play the game we all love in a safe and nurturing environment.

It doesn't matter if you've never skated a day in your life. We can teach you everything you need to know about roller skating and derby. All our new skaters will work with experienced roller derby players to get their skill levels as high as possible in accordance with the WFTDA rules.

We recommend all players come with the proper equipment - helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, elbow pads and knee pads. If you don't have these things right away, don't sweat it! We have a few pairs of skates to loan out and some equipment you can use to get yourself going. But you still need your own mouthguard - we don't share that!!!
