Rideau Valley Roller Derby (formerly Rideau Valley Roller Girls) is a competitive level, non-profit, women's flat-track roller derby league based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We are a collective that is run by the members, for the members with a focus on women in sport and developing North America's fastest growing sport within the National Capital Region. RVRD gained not-for-profit status in October, 2008 and became a full WFTDA member in June of 2012. Through fundraising, partnerships and volunteer work we strive to give back to the communities that have supported us.
RVRD has three home teams, the Slaughter Daughters, Riot Squad and the Prime Sinisters and two all stars teams, the Rideau Valley Vixens (WFTDA Charter A team) and the Sirens (B team). Non-team members of the league are known as Murder Dolls. Murder Dolls participate fully in all practices and events and help the league alongside our team players by working at the merchandise table at away games and by volunteering at home games.
