These are really handy to have and can save your butt depending on the fall. In all honesty I wish I went for something with more padding as I mostly do aggressive park skating and have somehow managed to miss the padding with every hard fall I’ve had thus far. That being said these are awesome for derby and trying new tricks and definitely add a layer of protection. They are pretty short which is the reason they don’t help with a lot of my park falls personally as I tend to fall hard on my side thigh and they don’t quite cover that area. Despite this though I still wear them whenever I go skating at the park and they have cushioned a few of my lighter falls. They are also great if you like to wear dresses or skirts since they are short and then just look like regular shorts underneath! The thinness of them also allows you to wear most clothing over top which is fabulous!

I wished I had these for the first two practices where I landed on my tailbone. Since getting these I haven't landed on my arse. These are super comfy and I think they bring good luck.

I am new to roller derby, and these shorts have saved my but! Literally so many times! They helped my build my confidence knowing that if and when I fell on my but it wouldn't be a big deal! Super comfortable and you can hide them under most other derby shorts but I don't they look fine by themselves! Great product, my tailbone has never been happier, thanks rollergirl!

These shorts are amazing! First time I wore them I landed three times on my tailbone on concrete and didn't feel a thing. They're light and cool and slim enough to fit under shorts, leggings, etc.
